In a nutshell

Qover is launching an on-demand insurance package for Wolt couriers in Finland, Norway and Denmark. The Belgian InsurTech, which already covers Deliveroo riders in Europe and the UK, confirms its market leadership in embedded insurance for the gig economy.

Qover’s platform enables a seamless and flexible insurance experience that is perfectly suited to the gig economy. As soon as Wolt riders log onto the app, they will automatically be covered by accident insurance that covers personal injuries, including up to €7,500 in medical expenses.

Based in the heart of Europe, the Brussels startup combines deep insurance knowledge with cutting-edge technology, and has built an impressive track record of scaling insurance programs throughout the continent.

Qover CEO Quentin Colmant says, 'I’m very proud that, going forward, we will also cover Wolt couriers. I couldn’t think of a better way to expand our operations into the Nordics than by protecting riders from the leading food delivery platform.'

11 countries, 100,000 people, 150 million meal orders

'We've gathered a wealth of experience in the gig economy,' Colmant says. 'I’m confident that we'll hit our next milestone of protecting 100,000 individuals by the end of the year while maintaining our 90% customer satisfaction score.'

Qover was able to carve out a niche for itself by offering an alternative to the complexity of traditional insurance. Companies in this new economy appreciate Qover’s centralised processes that include access to a partnership manager who demystifies insurance, as well as flexible pay-as-you-go pricing and the ability to quickly expand to other countries.

With the addition of these three new countries, the Belgian InsurTech will be active in eleven countries.
