In a nutshell

We’re incredibly proud to share that our former Strategic Partnerships Lead, Baudouin de La Rochefoucauld, has completed an extraordinary journey: rowing across the Atlantic Ocean.

Baudouin being interviewed in Gran Canaria before setting off in December.

He sailed from Gran Canaria to Barbados with his three fellow teammates – also known as The Rowing Stones – travelling 5,000 kilometres in 54 days.

The Rowing Stones arriving in Barbados after 54 days at sea.

After battling storms and seasickness, nearly capsizing and running on sheer determination, they arrived in Barbados to an emotional welcome from friends and family. They stumbled ashore – a little bruised, a lot bearded and straight into a well-earned cocktail.

But it wasn’t all hardship. Along the way, they saw their fair share of wildlife, including dolphins and whales, and even got some bread from a passing sailor.

The Rowing Stones were all smiles after being welcomed by friends and family in Barbados.

Baudouin isn’t just chasing adventure; he’s rowing with purpose. His journey supported Association Lazare, an inspiring initiative that connects young professionals and the homeless to share homes, build communities and transform lives. It’s a powerful cause that reflects the same resilience and curiosity Baudouin brought to Qover.

Before he set sail, Baudouin even brought his boat to the Qover office so we could see where he’d be living for two months at sea. Seeing the tiny space that will carry him across the high seas made his determination all the more impressive.

Baudouin’s story is a reminder that no dream is too big and no challenge, whether at sea or in life, is too great – especially when it’s driven by a mission to make a difference.

We cheered him and his teammates on every step of the way. To see more from their journey, follow them on Instagram at @rowing.stones.atlantic.
