Meet Mustafa Simsek, aka ‘Mustacha’, our summer legal intern 👨🏻

We had the pleasure of hosting Mustafa through the Step Up internship program (a FedEx initiative), a paid summer internship program which aims to promote diversity and inclusion in the tier-one legal job market across Europe. 

At Qover, Mustafa jumped into the world of insurtech with both feet.

He conducted hands-on research on legal and compliance topics from the impact of the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) to navigating regulatory frameworks to refining company policies around AI, data protection and intellectual property.

When he's not diving into legal documents, Mustafa's diving headfirst into his hobbies – literally.

Whether it's death diving, being a professional mountain guide or playing beach volleyball with the Qover team, he's always up for an adventure, and his internship with us was no exception.

We stopped to chat with Mustafa before he went on to his next big thing – first to a major media company and then Google – to ask him more about his internship experience.
